About Aven

I'm Raine. I wanted one task list for all my projects that lives in the terminal, works offline, and that my coding agents can use too.

Taskwarrior was a big inspiration, but it wasn't a great fit for agents, its ecosystem felt scattered, and I never found a TUI for it I liked. So I started toying with the idea of building the whole stack myself, with the CLI, the TUI, sync and eventually mobile apps designed together. Before the AI coding era, this would've been too ambitious as a side project, but now it feels within reach. I've written more about how Aven differs from Taskwarrior here.

I use it every day, so it's heavily shaped by my own workflow.

Aven is published by Zendit Oy, my one-person company in Finland. That's the name in the privacy policy.
